I feel over whelmed, but who doesn't this time of year. Some
obstacles out of my control have happened; my Mother has
fallen and later this week, we will find out if she needs surgery or not. There are several major issues going on and i needed a focus to calm me, so i gave myself a gift. I know it sounds selfish;
I gave myself the gift of forcing bulbs. It will take time for the roots to develop, the beauty of seeing something grow, the ritual of tending it and thinking as i tend my artistic endeavors, that i too will bloom or as i eat better, move....i will reach my goals. You can put your own goals in place. I have done this before and it truly helped me to focus, the simplicity of a new beginning, the
the hope of getting it right, the room for growth.

In the mean time, I will finish my Mom's pkg, making phone calls to connect the dots and aid my brother and his wife, in her care.
He lives 20min from her; me 8 hrs.

Ellen, I'm so sorry to hear of your Mom's fall. It's a good thing that your brother lives so close to her and that you're doing all you can to help too. And thinking positively (like tending to bulbs and what they represent) always brings comfort when life gets out of whack. I hope that you'll soon feel more centered and in the meantime enjoy your bulbs...guiltfree!

Thanks Becky, i do feel guilty, but i am doing all that i can right at the moment. I have a
back injury, that is preventing me from getting on a plane and a few other children matters...
concerts, orthodontist type stuff and my husband is out to sea. I have been spending a lot of time, playing phone tag, to connect the dots.
Thank you!

Yikes, your plate sure is full right now. Try to take it easy and hopefully you'll soon be feeling better.
