 How is your journey going?  I see a sea of changes for me. Hubby wants to get out of Navy and I need to have a constant pay check.  The job I had before will not work for me now (fitness related).  I am working on trying to find an online job, perhaps medical transcription, since I have Ninja typing skills ;D   Okay, maybe not Ninja but I can type pretty fast. I have been investigating some other areas, too.

     Someone told me the other day, I should give up art and just try writing.  I found this odd and funny since this person has not read anything I have written.  I do plan to work on a  poetry book, after my daughter's vacation. Yesterday was an eight hour shopping trip in a Double Decker mall. Today her friends are coming by after I run and get groceries.  I know I need to work on my grammar and plot skills, but writing money is not a constant. I guess it could be, for some fortunate souls...

      I recently submitted an article, but I won't know for months if my copy will go to print. Just because I thought it was insightful, interesting...oops not I, J.   Just because I thought it was jovial, jaunty and judicious, doesn't mean a thing. It might be jaded in an editor's eyes.  How is your journey going?   I hope it is jocund :D

How is your journey going?...Ella those words caught my heart...we all are on a journey and the only constant really is...CHANGE...terrifying uncertain unfamiliar change. This opening line would be a great 'prompt' think? I relate to this SO well. My journey right now is on the brink of so many changes...I can choose worry or trust. My head tells me to trust, but my heart...:) Than-you for sharing. We pray and we plod on, don't we?

Sorry you'll have to get a job. I bet your typing skills are way more Ninja than mine.

So many times our journeys take a surprising turn...but things generally work out. If your husband wants out of the navy, I would guess he could find a position easily enough in the civilian world. I know my SIL could/will when he leaves the army. He is well prepared. Good luck to you whatever path your family travels.

Keep an open heart :-) I was terrified when I lost my job many years ago due to my company being bought out. Lo and behold, I fell into the "perfect" job, which I still love and which is very rewarding. It is also a job which I would never have considered, nor believed that I had the skills to perform. One door closes, another opens...best wishes, and who knows, maybe something wonderful lies 'round the next bend. :-)

I agree with Alex, I think there is a way to combine all the things you enjoy doing we just have to step out of the boat....your work and words have continued to be an inspiration, and I have every confidence in the next phase of your Journey. Blessings, Amandax

Hello, Fellow Challenger, from #401-Rockin'Chair Reflections! Thanks for stoppy by! I'm jammed from your jocular jesting about journeys! Medical transcription is HARD work but pays great money. My bff has been doing since her 30s, went online as soon as they were able to hook up and has really enjoyed the income. But, you're not free during the day. You're hooked up and the hours are counted. Good luck!

I think your art and writing are intertwined! that separating them, or snuffing one of them out to focus on the other, would limit you. Your poetry book NEEDS your art! Just my humble opinion. :)
