I was cleaning out some nook n' crannies yesterday, when inspiration struck. I drink Crystal Light-I have used the lids, before. As I was cleaning and rearranging I found a few more, I must of tucked some away. I have squirrel tendencies, lol. I put one up towards my French doors. I wondered if light would filter through these?
I had been in the attic and found a box of shells. In the summer, I always have a white wire basket filled with shells, in my living room. I also found a small bag of lace remnants. I looked at the shells and thought how pretty the colors were. Pale pink, white, gray and taupe, all calm and soothing colors. Recently, my daughter had borrowed my pearls, to glue onto a collar of one of her denim shirts. She used fabric glue. Great product, by the way. I found the rest of them, in her room. I had bought a mixed bag of them, in shades of gray, white, taupe, silver blue and pink....mmmh, like the shells. Maybe I could combine the lids, lace and pearls?!
Most of you know, my favorite outdoor place is the seashore. Growing up, my indoor favorite was a glassed in front porch. We had a table at the back, with Adam's Family type wicker chairs, a swinging porch glider and a few rocking chairs. When you stepped in, there was a large fisherman's net, to place our seashore treasures and a shelf, for plants. We also had a wagon with extra terracotta pots and our sand pails n' shovels. I think our snow boats, where actually hidden under the glider, when it was winter. When late spring arrived they went in the basement. In each window, my Mom n' I had made sun catchers. They brightened even the grayest day. They were called MaKit and BaKit.

I used seam binding and silk ribbon, to string them up~ I have a curse, ssshhh, don't tell...
It is a secret, but I will share with you-I see potential in everything! Sometimes, I think it is a gift and other times a curse! Don't tell my family, I have other treasures hidden. My next attempt will be wrapping a gift in a plastic lettuce container! Remember it is our secret ;D
I will share how I do it, if you are interested....
