A-Z Reflection Post

I love this badge Jeremy Hawkins, from Retro-Zombie created for  the survivors of this year's challenge.   Thank you Arlee Bird for creating this amazing challenge!   Arlee, Alex, Yvonne and Hart were there from the start!    Congrats to all you finished and yes, to those who attempted it.  It is as it says a challenge!

I found this year to be more difficult, than before.  I knew my hubby was going to retire from the Navy,  at the end of June.  He decided to sell back his time and retire on his birthday, in March.  I had a few posts done, but not all.  Then Easter vacation this year was in April, sometimes it is March.  My whole family surrounded me, while I tried to play catch-up.  The house was beyond the normal level of noise and I was frazzled.  I am just not use to hubby watching TV and playing youtube videos or games on his iPad, while I am writing or trying to read comments.   I think I will have to show him this video because his spelling game is driving me insane.   I also started working a crazy job and this threw me an another curve ball.  I want more money if I am going to have to get up at 2:30am-I quit!  I'm not quitter, but I honestly feared I would drive the car into a tree.  So, not worth it.  I have applied at a new library-it isn't done being built, yet.   I hope with fingers and toes crossed this and teaching some art classes will be my next gig.  Oh, I did get a shout out from Stampington asking me to submit my pantyhose Flapper headbands!

I enjoyed so many themes.  Captain Alex did a great job with his movie picks, character studies and music.  I thought Nick, from Scattergun Scribblings was clever to write a story each day asking us for words that begin with a certain letter.  He did a fantastic job!   Yolanda Renee from Defending The Pen, had a  fascinating theme. I love history and learned so many intriguing facts about the author, Margaret Mitchell and stories about  Gone With The Wind.   Arlee  did a wonderful job with his movie selections. Every time I dropped by I wanted to go watch a movie!   There were so many great newbies to follow, too!

I have to give a shout out to my Garden poets who did 30 days of poetry. April was National Poetry month.  I also tried to jump in and write a few on my other blog.
I want to thank all of you who followed me, commented and inspired me to continue.  I want to thank the poets for stopping by while  busy with their own challenge.  What a great job the co hosts did!

Cheers to crossing the finish line!!!

Congrats Ella on the completion of the challenge and an excellent reflection post.

A TO Z AMBASSADOR.
Thanks - I'm glad you enjoyed my theme! Yours was creative - as always - and I never would've know there was confusion behind the scenes last month.
And yes, we were there in the beginning. Jamie and Bish were also along for that first Challenge. It seems so long ago.

It was great that you persevered and completed every letter of the alphabet. No small feat. I like your next year's theme. I'm already looking forward to it, Ella.

Despite the chaos, you finished it. I really enjoyed Nick's story, although half the time I'd be so far down in the comments I couldn't think of any more words that started with the day's letter.

Thank you, such an awesome compliment. I'm thinking it may have been too long, but when I discovered all those interesting facts I had to share them.
Thank you so much for the shout out, but especially for stopping by and commenting daily! So appreciated.
I'm like you I need to prepare in advance, something I tried to do this year and failed miserably at. I think it's great you have your subject for next year. That's the first hurdle!
And congrats on your headbands!
Happy Friday, have a great weekend!

Congrats on completing the challenge, hope your life calms down soon. A friend said adjusting to her hubby retiring took a lot of energy. She said he was under foot all the time and didn't know what to do with himself, good luck!

You're right. Driving car into tree, not worthy. :) Good you could finish the challenge. It was very hard for me to, but it was satisfying I did it to the end. :)

Whew 2:30am...that doesn't sound like fun. I worked 11-7 for years but I'd sure hate to get up going at time. Congrats on completing the challenge. Job well done.

Thank you for putting in another great year of A to Z despite your personal challenges. A lot of us had new things going on that threatened success, but we all made it. Good luck with the new job.

Coming by from the A to Z Road trip. Sorry I missed your posts this year! It looks like you have a very full and busy life. Congrats on the magazine wanting your project! Maybe someday I will get around to submitting something somewhere. I think I might be lazy...
