To Run Back

I've been cleaning up the attic. Yes, digging through sepia dust~ Over in the Garden we were asked to write a  Palindromes aka mirrored poetry. Grace shared this info:

"The palindrome simply reads the same forwards and backwards, usually with a central focal point from where it begins to read backwards.  Sotades invented palindromes in Greek-ruled Egypt, back in the 3rd century BC.    In fact, palindromes were once known as "Sotadic verses."  Palindrome comes from the Greek words "palin" (again or back) and "dramein" (to run). So if you read that backwards, it translates loosely into "to run back."

Thank you Grace !  Great form, not easy!  Grace, Thank you!  Easy not form-great!
Sorry, I had to do that!

Now that's a neat form of poetry. Seems like it would take great skill to pull that one off
Whoa, that was really wild! It really does flow both ways.
The photos are amazing, Ella. Really like the seashells.

Well, the photos are stunning and the poem calming. A perfect combination. Yes, the poem form is so hard, I tried three times and failed.

Okay, there's always one like me in every group, right? The one who asks questions? Like where did "zilch cost" come from?
But I love your poem. It really is calming, as are the beautiful photos. Good for the soul.

Wanda-You are kind! Thank you~ I am going to try again-I liked writing this style. Maybe it was because I was half a sleep-dream like-lol! :D

Kathi-Thank you! No, I didn't do the whole attic. I was looking for a story I wrote and some art supplies. I took boxes out and sorted. It is too hot to clean the whole attic-it is a sauna in there ;D (My drive will arrive in autumn, when I can open up my house and there is an actually breeze.)

Oh my gosh! How clever, Ella! That poem would take a lot of effort--and it totally works! And the pictures are stunning... love your posts :-)
Ella, this is a TRUE palindrome, with the words reversed, not just the lines. I cannot believe you pulled this off. Really impressed with this effort, and the subject matter (as well as the colors you chose), a favorite. Thx for visiting my blog, too.

Thanks, Amy
