Sad-

I am behind in life these days.   I saw my daughter come and go. She is back at college, classes resumed today.  She packed most of the items in her room to move into an apartment in April.  I am sad, I won't have another summer with her.  She will be home for spring break and then we help her move hours away.

My beloved four legged hound past away after the New Year.  I took him to the vet last month. We discovered he had Cushing's disease, but they couldn't rule out liver cancer. He lasted a month and I saw he was suffering and I had to do the right thing.  My heart hurts~

My son actually got a puppy yesterday that resembles our beagle who had one spot on his forehead.  The puppy's name is Wade Wilson.  Yes, based on the comic book character in Deadpool.  This hound has two spots on his forehead in the shape of the number 8.   I haven't seen him, yet, but plan to meet him this weekend.  I did receive some photos.

Rest in Peace my humble hound!  We miss you, Buster~    My son Larry named our beagle after
Bugs Bunny's son Buster from Tiny Toons

Thank you, Buster for all  the love n' joy you gave us~

 Wade Wilson-my son's puppy.

Hi, Ella,

SOOOO sorry for your loss. I had to do the same for my baby nine years ago. She, too, had Cushing disease. Poor baby blew up like a balloon and could barely walk. IT was such a hard thing to do, so I know exactly how you feel.

At least now there is a new baby in your life and he is SOOOOO cute. I hope to adopt a pooch once my lease is up on my place in Chicago and I move into my next home...

Take care,

Sending HUGE hugs....

I'm sorry about Buster. Our furry family members just don't live long enough.
Your son's puppy is cute.
Good to hear from you, Ella.

I share your sadness, Ellen --- our furred and/or feathered family members don't live long enough. For you today:

"God's love is meteoric, His loyalty astronomic, His purpose titanic, his verdicts oceanic. YET IN HIS LARGENESS NOTHING GETS LOST; NOT A MAN, NOT A MOUSE, SLIPS THROUGH THE CRACKS." Psalm 36:5-8 (The Message transliteration)

I send love and a warm hug to you this morning.

So sorry, Ellie, I know how you miss him, and will continue to miss him. Your son's puppy is adorable and will continue Buster's legacy of bringing love and smiles. I so love the photo of Buster smelling the flowers. He was such a dear soul.

Hi Ella, its been a while I know, so sorry to hear about your loss, it is amazing the joy that pets can bring into a home, becoming part of the family with their ways of behaving and antics. Sending you hugs and know that the newest addition to the family will bring many years of joy too. Prayers go out to your daughter, continuing with her studies and being away from home that she has an amazing time learning, and as she is blessed she can be a blessing

Hi Ella, I just got finished writing you a long email, but I thought I'd share a bit of what I wrote in there on your blog. This little quote--I wish I knew who wrote it so that I could credit them. Oh well, here goes. I hope it helps anyone out there who is missing a beloved companion:

One last word of farewell, dear master and mistress. Whenever you visit my grave, say to yourselves with regret but also happiness in your hearts at the remembrance of my long happy life with you: "Here lies one who loves us and whom we loved." No matter how deep my sleep I shall hear you, and not all the power of death can keep my spirit from wagging a grateful tail.
