I is for Intuition

You know that nagging voice-the gut feeling you get-to go for something or avoid it.  It seems our  nervous system taps into our body's messages before our brain does.  Do  you listen to your inner voice and perhaps drive another path-to avoid something, don't go to the movies or a function, because you have this lingering thought that you aren't quite sure of.   Your senses nudge you with something is going to happen.    Do you listen to your intuition?   Your body has this  sixth sense and  is often misunderstood.

Maybe the body picked up clues, before the gray mattered mind fully processed the what if's.  We often hear, "about a mother's intuition", but I have seen my husband have moments of insight, too.

Based on yoga and Ayurveda medicine the body holds seven energy fields called Chakras.  Between your eyebrows lies an energy field called the Third Eye.

"Beverly Rubik,  is a UC Berkeley-trained biophysicist,.......at her Oakland, California-based Institute for Frontier Science,.   Rubik studies the "biofield," the purported life-force energy that is called qi in Chinese martial arts, prana in yoga, and other things in other traditions. She wants to prove the existence of the biofield, calling it "the next step" in science, which would "explain more deeply how the mind works and how the body responds to various types of alternative therapies" that the medical establishment disdains. Proving the existence of the biofield would prove too that the human body is more than "just a bag of biomolecules," asserts Rubik, who describes her current project as "investigating high-frequency brainwaves that may be involved in higher states of consciousness."

So, what do you think?   Have you had an intuitive moment that make you believe the sixth sense is real and deserves this attention or do you think it is malarkey?!
The Sanskrit word Chakra literally translates to wheel or disk. In yoga, meditation, and Ayurveda, this term refers to wheels of energy throughout the body. There are seven main chakras, which align the spine, starting from the base of the spine through to the crown of the head. To visualize a chakra in the body, imagine a swirling wheel of energy where matter and consciousness meet. This invisible energy, called Prana, is vital life force, which keeps us vibrant, healthy, and alive. - See more at: http://www.chopra.com/ccl/what-is-a-chakra#sthash.nyTkRsZU.dpuf

I think there is something we tap into. Sometimes it's hint from God that we should or shouldn't do something.

I believe in it and I think women pick up on it better than men do. Maybe that's due to our diffused awareness?

Intuition, ESP, "hunches", inner voices........all there to guide us. It is when we dont listen that we make mistakes...........interesting post, Ellie.

I believe in intuition. If you're sensitive, you can pick up on things. I'm not sure about the third eye business, though.

Absolutely I believe in intuition, my gut reaction. I used to not listen to it and regretted it everyt ime. Now, while I may not know why I should or shouldn't do something, when I have that nagging feeling, I pay attention.

I really try too, there are times I haven't and boy have I regretted it! It's real, very, very real!

Sometimes I think my intuition is my subconscious picking up on subtle hints about something or someone that I'm not consciously aware of.

My grandfather sincerely believed he had ESP and even wrote a book about his experiences. I hope it is true.

I believe it's real and we all have it...we just don't always allow ourselves to tap into it.

Hi Stephanie-I agree! Sometimes we don't listen~

Tamara-Wow, that is fascinating~ I do believe in ESP, as well. I have had a few experiences which left me with no doubts~

Cynthia-This makes sense to me! I do think our senses have the advantage-sometimes.

Yolanda-I remember the last time I didn't listen-car accident! I listen-now!

Em-Musing-Yes, that is the key-paying attention! Well said~

Sherry-I agree. I read you can tune your third eye. I am not sure about all of that, but it is interesting to have insight!

Sherry-I, fully agree! Listen to your gut~

L. Diane-I believe that, too.

Alex-Well said~ I am happy when people listen!

Definitely. I listen to those gut urges every time I get one because they're there for a reason. That's worked out pretty well for me so far.

I was taught to always listen to that knowledge. Be still, listen, let it come. To trust in signs, especially in nature. Trees and animals are aware of many events that humans do not pick up soon enough.

Hi J Lenni-Yes, I so agree-listen to all those signs in nature`
Yes, this is so true~
Thank you!
