A gift for a friend

I have an internet friend, who i have not met, we have swapped ideas, recipes, photos , and memories. We met on a forum discussing HER(Healthy Eating Rules) interesting group of women, from all walks of life, from yogi's to phys. engineers.

I wanted to make something unique for my friend and i have been playing with the garland idea....so this is how it came out. I'm off to make a few more....
also included a few other items...i won't mention, in case she sees my blog.

It was fun to make an you could change it up in so many ways. Give it a try...

Very cool project. Garlands are definitely fun to make and fun to decorate with. Soon it will be time to put up our holiday garlands - I'm thinking that maybe some pennant-inspired ones might be fun to make.

Thanks, this is for a friend, of Italian descent, i chose postal stamps, bought a digital sheet on ETSY.
I will mention the seller in my next post....it is unique. She lives in NY and
both NY and Italy were included. I tried, to go with fall colors...but muted tones. I can't wait to make some more...it was addictive. It is longer then it looks i also had it draped on a desk.
Funny, when i went to mail it...there was a long line and they were pushing Christmas stamps.
My next stop they were playing Christmas music...it won't be long!

I'm a big fan of muted tones too. Btw, can you tell me where you got the black/white string? I love the basics and could use this to tie up lots of things.

Thanks gals, i got the string it is brown' white, on Etsy, OneRipePeach, i don't think she has any right now, try Nice Package..it is baker's twine.

My daughter wants a garland, too; we are making one for a birthday gift, along with some special earrings.

Ellen I just remembered that Martha Stewart carries a similar string. Thanks for your Etsy tip and I'll look into this too.
