I is for Imagine

What do you imagine for yourself, do you see a best seller in your future, do you want to be featured on the cover of a magazine.  I think it takes ingenuity, imagination and maybe some integrity, then maybe not.

I think of John Lennon and the lyrics in his song "Imagine": "You may say that I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one"

How do you deal with your ideas? Do you write them down and use them later to jump start your ignition, do you let them idle, or do you ignore them? Some ideas can lead to an ideal life; shouldn't we be a bit more respectful of our imaginations.  Do you respect yours? Do you listen to messages from your soul?!

I'm trying to listen but I think we are not speaking the same language. Nice post Ella :)

Ellie, I love this. I'm not always a good steward of my ideas/imaginations.

I try to focus on what I can control and leave behind what is beyond my reach. Otherwise I'm always longing for what I can't have.

Lovely post Ella, it's nice to meet you too. I imagine I am a dreamer...and dreaming big brings with it hopes imagined until your reality is right where you wish to be. Thanks again for a fabulous reiteration of the importance of advocating for yourself and discovering just how much you can do if you imagine! ☺

I usually let my ideas ferment in my mind until I have them all worked out, and then I write them down.

An Aunt once told me "you're nothing but a dreamer". She never realized I took it as a compliment. :-)

Ellie, your blog loves beautiful - so artistic - I LOVE the little red jay in the teacup - too adorable! And the photo - is that you as a child? So sweet!

When I started writing my poetry, I found that all sorts of images and ideas were hitting me at often the weirdest times of day (making a sandwich or cleaning up a mess). That's when I began writing an idea down just as it came to me. Napkins, little notes would have my poetry ideas from the week. On the weekend, I would try and put it all together into a poem or two. It has been a welcome gift for me to have these ideas pop in my head.

septembermom-This is how it is for me. My husband sees all these scribbles and doesn't get it. It is okay; I know how I work; Finding others like me, confirms it is an artistic characteristic! We can only be who we are!

Sherry-No, not me, but I love the image and thought I would use it in my art work. It plays off the imaginary, we have as children and how we as adults still have it, but discount it or sweep it aside. I don't want to do this...finding it is happening too often. Thank you! I have little birds in my kitchen...all over poking out here n' there. Thank you, perhaps I will take more photos and share ;-D

CR Ward-I agree, it is a compliment! ;-D

San-It is nice to meet you; You are a brave soul with so much to share! I will visit you and watch your journey~
I relied heavily on my imagination for my current manuscript! Think I threw everything at it but the kitchen sink.

Alex-Can't wait to read it; First I must catch up~
Son was only gone for 35min...his class was cancelled, he is back home...augh! He will leave again, soon...lol

Lisa-I hope it goes well; Can I view a book online?!

Angela-Smart, we do have to add those reality checks. I am not going to be 5'10 and blonde, not in this life~ ;-D

Wanda-You could of fooled me; I see lots of ideas and unique ways you express yourself! @>---

Wonderful post Ellen.
We should be respectful to our imiginations.
I have had an idea for ahwhile now- something I really want to do but mr. negativity sitting on my shoulder discourages it.
I need to be strong and rid this little bugger right off my shoulder!

I love the image of the two little girls. I am off to find my Somerset magazine to look you up. Congratulations dear Ella!

All good questions, Ellie! I have learned to listen to my imagination, for if I imagine myself a published writer and photographer, it is the first step to take me there. I laughed at your National Geographic comment on my post, however. There's a goal even I can't begin to imagine...LOL!

I listen, at least I try. It's turning my ideas and imagination into reality that present the problem for me.

Great 'I' post, Ella! I usually jot my ideas down, otherwise they'd be jumbling about in my head. :o)

I have a lot of ideas that I'm scared to share. I keep them "in line" most of the time and push everything else to the back. That may change soon.

I've submitted my blot to Artful Blogging four times I think and always..rejection. How do I deal with it? By annoying the editors and continually submitting AGAIN. :)
