What's up Dog

I have injured myself.   I'm watching the Olympics and chilling. I'm really chilling I have frozen peas on my back and ankle...

I hope you enJOYed your weekend...

Here is a view into my world(no I'm not going to show you my frozen peas, lol.  I'm looking like the Tower of Pisa again(happens every summer).  I over do and I'm down for the count...

Yes, this rabbit knows a good thing. He or she was down for the count. It was so  hot he was laying on some cool moss...meanwhile on the other end of the yard:

My hound is not happy!  Actually he is..  He missed the rabbit taunting him and was rather excited to see him again!   Earlier in the day,  the rabbit in the day had crawled around my pots and ran off in the woods.  Our beagle had no clue....  There really is some truth to Bugs Bunny and his clever ways ;D    This is a new series called  The Hound n' the Hare, lol.

Okay, not such a great photo, but you get the idea. This rabbit and maybe a few of his brothers and sisters are famous, for hiding under our deck.

Our hound even consulted a shrink for advice!

My hound is eleven. I honestly don't think he would hurt the rabbit.  He just wants to sniff him/her, hug him, love him and call him George, lol!

My hound would chase the rabbit, but if the rabbit didn't run I think she'd just watch him. Your dog reminds me so much of mine! :)

Alex-lol yes! You are funny~
I'm a special kind of stupid. I looped the hose around me to water and in the process tripped over it!
Yeah, it was something Lucy probably would have done. I was trying to save time...

Nutschell-Thank you! Yes, a good excuse to kick back right... I like your attitude :D

EJ-My hound has chased the rabbit, but can't catch him. Actually saw my hound give up yesterday. He turned around and sniffed instead. It was like you could almost hear him say...to heck with that, no use wasting my energy! I'll save it for later...yeah, my evening walk! ;D Hounds are so funny! Does your dog try to hog the pillows?! Mine does... He will lay on the couch and almost always has a pile of pillows~ lol

This is a delightful post except for your injury. My goodness. Rest easy for awhile! We love the rabbits, too. The other day while the dog slept soundly on the deck, three deer and a rabbit came into the clearing. We watched that bunny run around in little circles, trying to get the deer to play with him. Fun!

That first picture of the rabbit reminds me of how Bella stretches out. Hope you recover soon but until then take it easy

I'm so sorry you hurt yourself, Ella, because I know pain is no fun, but I enjoyed your post and also the comments, especially Mary Ann's...I can just picture the bunny trying to interest the deer in playing.
We have rabbits and deer around here, too, and I don't think Lindy would want to hurt them, but she'd certainly enjoy a short game of chase.
Your hound is so cute!

Ella,

Sorry to read that you are having to use the frozen peas remedy!! Hope you are fit and well soon again.
I enjoyed seeing your pictures and seeing what a happy and enjoyable animal life you are part of.
Take care,
Eileen :)
I can relate to back and shoulder pain. hope you get better quickly.
I suffer with bad painful shoulders and arm muscels which I usually have a cortisone shot, my doctor is away and the others won't do it so am in considerable pain. I phone up the main place in London today who tell me that if it is a group practice any doctor should treat me the same as my usual one.
Have to go back tomorrow with the message.
Hope you're enjoying the Olympics.
Yvonne.

I am sorry your back is painful - but I always love it when I am laid flat with something or other and CANT POSSIBLY do anything besides lie on the couch and watch movies. I call those days my Annual Vacation, hee hee. Get well, but not too soon!

p.s. your dog has the DEAREST face!!!!!!

A bag of frozen peas works for lots of sore spots. And your hound certainly looks like the loveable hugging type.

I have chronic back pain that has only gotten worse as my body ages (notice I was discerning as to what part of me is aging). My wife brought he some capsaicin cream which is an ingredient in hot peppers and wow did it work. It does burn but it numbs the nerve endings. I'm not a doctor but I have seen one.

Hope your pain lessens mi amiga. Sit back and enjoy the olympics and eat comfort food!

Putting your feet up should do the trick, hope your getting lots of 'tender loving care' from all the family. Love the pictures, Amandax

So sorry you've hurt yourself, Ella. That said, your timing isn't bad...I'm sitting a lot watching the Olympics, too, and my ankle's fine!

Your dog is very cute. My little Meeghan is fascinated by squirrels...watches them endlessly, though I'm not sure she'd know what to do with one if she ever caught it. Thankfully, she's content just to stare at them endlessly...lol.

Feel better soon....

Hah, I'd forgotten about that clip. Too funny.
My eighteen year old mutt is no longer impressed by bunnies, but hubby feeds the wild beasties on our lanai.
On a side note - As a tot, sister Sue use to name the snails George just before she popped them into her mouth.
Wonderful photos, delightful post.
