Open Garden-Wedding at Sea

I walked down the aisle
in ivory n' gold voile skirting
ethereal white foam
twirling, tumbling towards your
love-a talisman of time

 Tangled gold green thoughts
connect our union of calm
and turbulent buoys
layered life beckons us
to honor our serenity

Cherished waves
carry me in shifting sands of time
your love caresses me
our friends chase my cathedral train
sparkling toast to eternity

This offering is for Open Link Monday in the Garden.  I did make it to the Outer Banks.  It was all I hoped it would be.  It was kinda funny-I took this conch shell, I found in the Bahamas-a long time ago.  I was taking photos and this woman kept showing up in my frame.  She wanted to know where I found this shell.  I laughed and told her the truth-the Bahamas.  My husband thought I should of told her way down the other side of the beach.  It is a struggle to take photos at the shore, no matter the season or time of day.   And just so you know-I found the seaweed, just like this.  I did not touch it-isn't it gorgeous!

Your poem is so beautiful, and your photos are - as always - spectacular. Magical! Sigh. A day at the shore.
Love it! I'm going to the beach, I'm going to the beach - oh, sorry. But I'm going to the beach and I'm thrilled! I hope I get some beautiful pictures too!

What a lovely three lines. And the photos are so beautiful and fit the poem so well.

Thanks, Ella
Ella, the words you connected to those first two images are stunning. The first image, in particular, looks so haphazard that only you could see it as a wedding, then share that vision with all of us. This is really good writing, my dear! Thanks so much, Amy

This entire post is just a joy, Ella. Your words are the perfect compliment for your photos. I love to see how you have interpreted each one so imaginatively. Makes me long for a beachside holiday.

The seaweed IS gorgeous and so are your images - the sparkling waters and birds silhouetted. The last poem is so fitting - Nice your husband & you walking this beach and IT DOES look like a wedding dress train. (loved your husband's suggestion!)

Sumana-Thank you! :D

Kerry-Thank you! Yes, the beach so inspires. I grew up near the shore and must go more often. I kinda wanted more time there, but will go again soon. ;D
