L@@K at Me My Love

Over in the Garden, Corey challenged us to make a Mix tape poem.

"So to honor this tradition of love, I want you to write me something that screams "look at me my love", but not in a way that is lacy and ethereal like some writing about love.  I want you to be cheesy, lusty, rapturous, obsessed, candid, fun, belligerent or awkward.  I want the real face of love, clumsy and heady, obtuse and full of blushing. You can use the mix tape as a subject or not, but I want that idea to at least hang in the air. This should be new writing, poem, snippet, billboard, short story, autobiography or an ode to a long lost tribe of talking rabbits....I am easy....you know that."

ha. some really cool lines....collecting the stars...the red bins with rusty hinges...such cool textures in it...and nice word inside too...
Riding the hurricane out together! I like it.

Beautifully crafted poem, Ella. You are a true artist. Being that it is always calm in the eye of the hurricane, that seems the best place to ride out any such storm!

The analogy of the storm is just perfect, scary, powerful and exhilarating. this was really cool the way it grew, gathering steam and using such great descrition and tactile sensation to make the point. And the format was really creative...damn Ella!!!! I think you got it in spades!!!!!! Thanks for writing on this, you now it is never complete until we see you in our Mix Tape!!!
That was lovely! Perfection and filled with the lust and rawness of love.

I love stopping by for a cup of tea, been away for awhile, but the writing is going well, and I am happy in the creative process!

Looks as though you are too!

Hi Susie-Thank you! I love that-yes, it is a dance isn't it!

Heaven-Thank you! I had fun creating it-weather like love can be fickle!

Mary Ann-Yes, I went in a different direction. I guess I was reminded by the beauty and thorns of the rose, but thought weather might be more a wider field-so many different kinds of love! Thank you~ I loved the home you shared on your blog~

Steph-Thank you! Husband is more detailed oriented than me-everything having its place. I like some organizing, but I am more free spirited.

Kathyrn-Thank you! Yes, we all have some rain in matters of love~

Hi Kerry! Thank you so much~ It wasn't the mixed I had planned, but weather always lends itself to inspiration or a blank canvas. I had taken a few photos and thought why not!

I used to make lots of mix tapes back when I listened to cassettes and others did as well. Never tried writing a mix tape poem.

I like the imagery you use.
