Blooming Cardinal

Over in the Garden, Magaly mentioned how some flowers were named after animals.  She witnessed Frog Cups in New York, which inspired this prompt.   I selected the Cardinal Vine-a
hummingbird favorite.

They are rather like winged fairies, aren't they?

Love how well your poem describes the contrast between the blooms and the green. And yes, that is definitely Red-Carpet Red. I see the sipping quite clear. ;-)

Oh yes, the dog is Adi, Adi Jane.
But she died September, 2013. I have a hard time still, I miss her. She also was a therapy dog, we were an animal therapy team.

Oh Jim-I am so sorry! I lost my hound in January. I miss him so~ I knew getting my containers around the deck would be difficult. I love to plant seedlings. He would chase the bunnies that love to taunt him underneath the deck. He and my muse were best friends~ Thankful we both have our memories of these furry angels!!

Jim-lol! I know it...Looney Tunes describes my previous comment.
