Tuesday Platform

Today in the Garden is the Tuesday Platform. Thank you, Marian!

So today is the Tuesday Platform, your unprompted free-range day of the week. Share with us, something old, something new, or your April 14 entry for NaPoWriMo. And then hop around to read what other pond-dwellers have shared. Enjoy!

Moody Girl

 April you fool
  tossing pink confetti
at a
  symphony of bees
performing
the Blue Danube-
then you plant
  a shocking Alaskan kiss
you take my breath
away in a
peppermint chill
next day
 balmy breezes
and sun dappling ribbons
twirl-
You tease me
Calendar girl
always flirting
 batting your
lashes of wonder
pleased when-
water colored tears
arrive
all is forgiven
your rainbow smile
mirrors mine
I dance in puddles
wearing
my lemon
boots.

Rainbows and puddles rule! :)

Enjoyed the imagery in this, Ella. April definitely can play the role of a fool sometimes! I am tired of its peppermint chill, however. Smiles.

I love the yellow boots and all, Ella. The Alaskan kiss threw me into puzzle time, I am thinking that they will be the same as an 'Eskimo kiss' of gently rubbing noses. I like those kind but they aren't as sensuous as the regular or foreign kisses.

The color and imagery in this - and the playfulness of the month described - really appeals to me. I especially love the idea of you in lemon boots!

We talk about April weather with all those shifts between winter and almost summer.. I like the way you say it's a moody girl with colors (and I guess it's also stained with mud)

Very cool that you seem to be chastising fickle April, then end up the dancing one. After all, April is irresistible.

Just like Spring, that flirt!

Ahhh, Ella, I thought of "Alice in Wonderland" when I saw the picture and after I read your poem I thought how appropriate. April does have that feel with her manic extremes. I love the yellow boots.
