Violet's Dream

The Violet's Message

Over in the Imaginary Garden, Susie shared artist John Everett Millais.
Today's challenge is to choose one of the following paintings and give voice to the subject's thoughts. Is there joy, boredom, worry? Are there any hints in the painting itself?

Such emotion and description in so few words.
A four leaf clover means so much and this secret garden, love realized.
So beautifully done!
Amazing, Ella, you are amazing!

This is very cool - "heart's red door", "strawberry moon-like skin", and the hands like shutters hugging ink's hope. Wow.

Your words provide a new dimension of the portrait. I especially like the way you worded the final stanza.

'hands like shutters...' this and all of your similes gives layers of color and depth to the painting--and to the thoughts of the girl portrayed.

What a beautiful voice for the painting..It speaks color and emotion. You've added your own brush strokes. "hands like shutters hug ink's hope...Love the words you chose to for your ending. Thank you so much for taking part in the prompt!

Hi Susie-Thank you, so much~ I love this challenge-I might do another painting, soon. It does make me want to try painting again~ He is so, gifted and talented-thank you, for sharing him~

Hedge-Thank you! I wanted to reflect her heart's home. You are very kind~

Kerry-Thank you! I wanted her voice to exude hope and freedom-which the inner garden holds~

Sara-Thank you~ :D

Sherry-Thank you! Now, I want to go paint-tee,hee. No way, first I have to finish stitching clouds and adding the sky's eyes to my art. You would laugh if you saw what I was making-I will share soon!

Diane-I did, too! I thought about it and her heart either blooming or withering. I went for the positive spin~

Yolanda-Thank you! Yes, I wanted the spring's strawberry moon and the four leaf clover to say what I was thinking. The shutters determine how much we are willing to share and what we chose to hold in our heart's mind.

Carrie-Thank you! I will visit you soon- The last time I stopped by I was smitten with how beautiful your blog is~

Angenette Karen Gregory Olivara Beredjick-Thank you! I enjoyed your blog~

Alex-Yes-who doesn't love receiving hope! I hope you are doing well, Captain~ I can only imagine how much the written word meant back then. Words still mean the world-we just have new ways of sharing hope~ Thank you, Alex!

I could read the 'hope' throughout, Ella. Glad you spelled it for us at the last. I really liked this picture, such expression Millais paints.

Describing the opening of the envelope in the first stanza is itself exquisite. So also the others. Great lines Ella!

See, this is how a nice person, a normal person, sees this portrait. Not like me! Ha!

The way the words fall in this - it almost makes me think of raindrops in a garden, watering the flowers before they were pressed and sent. It's a beautiful fit with the prompt.
