Mood Barometer

Blue bell books blog contact me they were doing a linky based on a photo. Here is what I came up with based on this photo

Skyline's steel bridge eclipses mood
merging the canvas of day with night
the silver screen of your dreams projects filtered sleep
smoky quartz clusters rotate
blocking brilliant blue's sunny disposition
quicksilver gray shadows dance like a porpoise in an angry sea
dismantled plans gone awry
graphite smudges infuse promise of turbulent downpour
like shaken salt, let it pour
don't let ugly duckling weather discourage the swan's appearance today~

Then I went to copy n' past photo, it is of a pre tornado. I just saw a gloomy day; here is my second attempt.

India permanent black ink swirls
dances across canvas dripping into life
mood erupts, bursting like a tantrum,
tentacles unleashed; no one knows where safety lives
splintering hope and shattering dreams
alien has arrived in town, everyone wants to see, but shouldn't
fractured fragments remain
bonds are rebuilt
human nature grieves what was and what will be~

You sound as bad as I am for the colour blue!
My mum told me she wanted a baby boy when she was carrying me....lol
Don't know if it's because I'm such a daydreamer and the blue sky lets me dream of freedom there, or because I was born close to the sea and always lived near it. Love it when it's blue! I lose myself it waters constant movement and flow, be it, a river, stream or even rain fall. I've always loved blue.
Thanks you for visiting me and the lovely comment.
You write lovely words too, filled with beautiful imagery.
Ella said…
Thank you daydreamertoo! I never tire of the view~

human nature also grieves for what it could have been apart from what it was an what it will be.

it was so implicitly shown in the poem...!

First of all I want to say excellent blog!

I had a quick question which I'd like to ask if you do not mind. I was curious to find out how you center yourself and clear your mind before writing. I have had difficulty clearing my mind in getting my thoughts out there. I truly do enjoy writing but it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are lost simply just trying to figure out how to begin. Any suggestions or tips? Thanks!
