Sleep deprivation, too much caffeine and stress have me feeling like a bundle of nerves. So, for awhile I am going to post bright spots in my day. They might not look bright to some, but these simple pleasures enable me to cope with the storms in my life. We all have them-when it seems there is too much rain and fog permeates our soul. So, I am going to fight will photos, quotes and random streams of consciousness. I am not depressed, the storms which circle me are from friends and family-I love.
One person, I love is having a bone marrow test-today, another is struggling with addiction, and so on. I have empathetic tendencies and their energy drains me. I know in the dark moments of life we still have to find bright spots in our day. I want to blog a bit of light, something that could make another person calm and remind them to seek joy in their day.

"The astonishing reality of things
Is my discovery each day.
Each thing is what it is,
And it's hard to explain to someone how happy this makes me
and how much this suffices me."

Colored pencils remind me I can color my rainbow. I must search for the pot of gold in each day~ I can color the forest, the seashore or a sunset and wander through a happy memory.
I love to force bulbs. They inspire hope. We are like the green stalks and leaves-reaching our arms towards our day searching for illumination.
I save tea tags and glancing at these roses remind me-I must focus on the rose, not the thorns.
I once had a rose named
after me and I was very flattered. But I was not pleased to read the
description in the catalogue: no good in a bed, but fine up against a
wall.
